Location: Naples, FL
A well-established, family-owned business with over three decades of success in the home furnishings industry is seeking an experienced and driven Store Manager to lead operations at its Naples location. Known for offering a curated selection of decorative fabrics, furniture, home décor, art, and accessories, this organization provides a dynamic environment for individuals passionate about design and retail leadership.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in home furnishings sales and store management, along with a desire to contribute meaningfully to a growing and customer-focused business.
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate up to $30/hour (based on experience), plus uncapped commission and quarterly bonus opportunities.
Position Overview
This role combines sales leadership, operational oversight, and customer engagement. The Store Manager will be responsible for driving revenue, managing day-to-day store functions, and delivering an exceptional in-store experience for both retail and trade clients.
Core Responsibilities
Lead the overall store operation, ensuring a high-performing and customer-focused environment
Partner with retail customers, interior designers, and trade professionals to deliver tailored product and design solutions
Build deep product knowledge across fabrics, furniture, décor, and custom upholstery offerings
Drive sales through consultative selling and strategic product recommendations
Oversee visual merchandising to maintain an inviting and well-curated showroom
Manage staff scheduling, performance, and productivity across full-time and part-time team members
Track sales performance, commissions, and key metrics to ensure team success
Resolve customer and employee concerns with professionalism and sound judgment
Serve as the primary in-store leader and brand representative
Coordinate reupholstery and custom work with external vendors and workrooms
Collaborate with ownership to improve processes, drive efficiency, and support business growth
Qualifications
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in retail sales, preferably within home furnishings or interior design
Prior leadership or management experience required
Strong understanding of design principles and current home décor trends
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Self-motivated, adaptable, and open to coaching and development
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving retail environment
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs
Comfortable working in both showroom and back-office settings
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks such as bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders
