Job Title: Staging Manager – Maternity Leave Coverage / Transition to Interior Design Manager Company: Stage to Move Location: Connecticut / Westchester, NY (Hybrid/On-Site) Job Type: Part-Time, Temporary with Potential for Permanent Placement Start Date: September–October 2025 (training period) Maternity Leave Coverage: December 2025–April 2026 About Us Stage to Move is a high-end home staging and interior design company with a reputation for design-forward spaces and seamless project execution. We’re growing quickly, and with our current staging manager going on maternity leave in early 2026, we’re looking for a dynamic leader to step in - first as her temporary replacement, and then transition into a full-time interior design leadership role. This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to grow within the company and take ownership of interior design projects while learning the heart of what we do: staging. Phase 1: STAGING MANAGER (Temporary Role) (Training begins September/October 2025; coverage from Dec–April) Key Responsibilities: • Manage all staging day logistics (truck arrival, movers, timeline, etc.) • Create staging proposals and select furniture • Tag and pull items from our Stageforce system • Maintain de-stage folders and ensure accurate tagging/inventory • Serve as main client contact for scheduling and planning • Lead the team during staging installs with a sharp eye for layout and accessorizing • Oversee truck loading and manage staging team onsite • Problem-solve in real time and maintain professionalism under pressure • Communicate with clients, homeowners, and agents with warmth and clarity • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment. This includes: • Clear and consistent communication with warehouse staff. • Ensuring proper inventory storage and labeling. • Sustaining records of damaged or dirty items. • Upholding overall organization and operational flow. Phase 2: INTERIOR DESIGN LEAD (Begins after maternity leave ends; Spring 2026 onward. Part-time with potential for full time based on demand.) Key Responsibilities: • Manage full-scope interior design projects from proposal to installation • Source furnishings, fixtures, finishes, and materials • Lead client presentations and guide project direction • Budget effectively using Excel/Google Sheets • Coordinate with contractors and vendors for timely execution • Create layouts and designs (SketchUp, Design Files, or similar) • Maintain strong client communication and timelines • Step in as staging backup when needed Qualifications • Home Staging experience • Interior design experience (3–5+ years preferred) • Strong leadership and people management skills • Excellent communication and client management • Software knowledge: SketchUp, Design Files, Excel/Sheets, project trackers • Comfortable with physical staging needs (lifting light items, being onsite) • Calm under pressure, creative problem solver, strong decision-maker • Portfolio and references showing design execution and client satisfaction Why Join Us?
