Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Space Planner/Designer role based in the Greater Jackson Area. The Space Planner/Designer will develop and refine space plans, floor layouts, and furniture configurations that align with client needs, brand standards, and functional requirements. Responsibilities include creating and updating construction drawings, producing detailed CAD/CET plans, and coordinating with sales, project managers, architects, and design professionals to ensure accuracy and feasibility. The role involves meeting with clients to understand their goals, presenting design concepts, integrating ergonomic and code-compliant solutions, and adjusting plans based on feedback and site conditions. The Space Planner/Designer will also assist with product specifications, finish selections, installation drawings, and occasional site visits to verify measurements and support project implementation. Qualifications Proficiency in Space Planning and Floor Plans, with the ability to translate client requirements into efficient, functional layouts. Strong Interior Design capabilities, including furniture and finish selection, ergonomic considerations, and understanding of commercial design standards. Experience producing and interpreting Construction Drawings, including elevations, details, and installation plans. Advanced skills in CET software and related design tools used for drafting and visualizing layouts. Relevant education such as a degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Strong spatial reasoning, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, internal teams, and external design and architecture professionals. Familiarity with building codes, ADA considerations, and commercial office furniture systems is preferred.
