Lenox Hill Interiors is seeking an experienced, polished, and customer-focused Showroom Sales Associate to join our luxury furnishings and interior design showroom in beautiful Carmel-by-the-Sea. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for high-end interiors, fine furnishings, lighting, art, and exceptional client service. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with homeowners, designers, and trade professionals to bring sophisticated interior visions to life. The ideal candidate is design-savvy, detail-oriented, reliable, highly organized, and confident working in a luxury retail environment. Responsibilities Welcome and assist clients in a warm, professional, and consultative mannerGuide customers through our curated collection of luxury furnishings, lighting, décor, and interior design solutionsDevelop strong product knowledge to confidently recommend furnishings, finishes, layouts, and design pairingsAssist clients with space planning, merchandising ideas, and design conceptsSupport interior design and renovation projects with thoughtful product selections and design insightCreate and maintain visually inspiring showroom displays and merchandising standardsProcess sales transactions accurately using POS systems and manage client orders professionallyBuild and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referralsPromote new collections, showroom events, and seasonal offeringsCollaborate with team members to ensure an elevated and seamless client experienceUtilize Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, and Sheets, for presentations, order tracking, client communications, and project coordination Qualifications Previous experience in luxury retail sales, interior design, home furnishings, or a related design industry requiredStrong understanding of high-end furniture, lighting, textiles, and interior aestheticsExperience with SketchUp, CAD, or other design/layout software is highly desirableProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace requiredExcellent communication, interpersonal, and client service skillsAbility to confidently sell and upsell premium products while maintaining a consultative approachStrong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced showroom environmentProfessional presentation and a passion for design, craftsmanship, and beautiful interiorsWeekend availability requiredReliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented Cultural Fluency & Global Perspective Possess a deep, natural affinity for the global design landscape, with demonstrated knowledge of luxury furniture, contemporary art, architecture, and emerging design trends. The ideal candidate keeps a finger firmly on the pulse of art, culture, and design, effortlessly translating these influences into inspiring, elevated conversations with clients and designers alike.
