Showroom Interior Design & Sales Intern

From our flagship showroom on Lexington Avenue in Manhattan, we represent prestigious Italian design brands, including Davide Groppi, Gervasoni, and Meridiani. We are looking for an ambitious, creative, and commercial-minded Summer Intern to join our showroom team. Position Overview & Contract Opportunity: This is a paid, full-time 3-month summer internship designed for recent graduates or students entering their final year. At the conclusion of the 3-month term, standout performers may be considered for a full-time position to join our permanent team in NYC. What You Will Do (Learning & Responsibilities): * Showroom Operations & Brand Equity: Support overall showroom management, helping to maintain product displays, coordinate design events, and showcase luxury Italian installations. Design & Client Proposals: Learn to assist in designing and drawing floor plans, furniture layouts, and design proposals tailored to client projects.Client Engagement: Greet and manage retail customers, interior designers, and architects visiting or calling the showroom, providing deep product information and premium service.Networking & Lead Generation: Help develop a strong network within the NYC residential Architecture & Design (A&D) community and learn to track leads using the company’s CRM system. Qualifications: * Recent graduate or graduating senior with a degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Business, or a related discipline. A deep, genuine passion for design, style, luxury furniture, and high-end lighting is an absolute requirement for this role. * Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a natural inclination toward sales, aesthetics, and high-end hospitality.Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or related design drawing tools is highly preferred.Ability to work full-time hours, including standard showroom hours and select Saturdays as scheduled. Compensation & Schedule: * Hourly Rate: $20.00 per hour. Type: Full-time, Non-exempt hourly contract for 3 months.Location: 192 Lexington Avenue, New York, NY.
