About this role

The Role You will work directly with Principal Kati Curtis and serve as the technical backbone of the design team. Your primary responsibility is transforming design concepts into detailed drawings, schedules, specifications, presentations, and project documentation. This is not a styling or social media position. This is a production-intensive role requiring exceptional technical skills, drawing ability, attention to detail, organization, and follow-through. ResponsibilitiesTechnical Documentation Develop and maintain Revit models throughout all project phasesProduce construction documents and drawing setsCreate detailed interior elevationsDraft custom millwork, cabinetry, built-ins, and architectural detailsCreate custom furniture models and drawings for fabricationPrepare reflected ceiling plans, finish plans, and installation drawingsCoordinate consultant and contractor informationReview drawing sets for accuracy and completenessInterior Design Production Create furniture plans and room layoutsBuild FF&E schedulesMaintain finish, plumbing, lighting, and hardware schedulesProduce tile layouts and pattern drawingsDevelop custom furniture drawings and specificationsPrepare specification packages and installation documentationProject Coordination Track design decisions and revisionsMaintain project documentation and digital filing systemsCoordinate information with vendors and fabricatorsPrepare meeting notes and action item listsAssist with procurement documentation as neededQualificationsRequired 5+ years of luxury residential interior design experienceAdvanced Revit proficiencyStrong drafting and technical drawing skillsExperience producing full construction document setsKnowledge of custom millwork and interior architectural detailingAbility to create detailed schedules and specificationsExceptional organizational skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple active projects simultaneouslyHighly Desired Experience with high-end New York residential projectsExperience with custom furniture developmentRendering experienceProcurement and vendor coordination experienceThe Right Person You: Love documentation, organization, and precisionCatch mistakes before anyone else sees themCan build a schedule without being askedUnderstand how interiors are actually constructedThink several steps aheadEnjoy bringing order to complexityTake pride in producing beautiful, accurate workAre self-directed and proactiveThe Wrong Person This role is not a fit if you: Prefer styling over technical workNeed constant direction or supervisionDislike documentation and schedulesHave limited Revit experienceAre looking primarily for a marketing, social media, or decorating position
