About this role
Senior Residential Designer (Residential Design Advisor)
We’re partnering with a well-established luxury residential design-build remodeling company serving Northeast Pennsylvania for more than 40 years. As they expand, they are seeking an experienced designer to join their highly collaborative, family-oriented culture.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Residential Interior Designer who enjoys working directly with homeowners and wants to focus on creative design, premium client relationships, and project ownership — without the pressure of cold calling, hunting, or prospecting. You will step into a warm, highly qualified pipeline of pre-established luxury projects.
✨ What You’ll Do:
Lead homeowners through a seamless residential remodeling design process. Design luxury kitchens, bathrooms, additions, and whole-home remodels. Guide clients through premium material selections, including cabinetry, tile, flooring, countertops, and finishes. Collaborate closely with in-house cabinetry designers, drafting support, and production staff. Manage a portfolio of approximately 5–7 active design projects from initial handoff through final approval. Act as a trusted advisor, helping homeowners confidently navigate budget discussions and high-end remodeling investments.
✅ What We’re Looking For:
5+ years of residential interior design experience. Strong kitchen, bath, and residential remodeling design background. Exceptional client-facing skills, comfortable leading one-on-one and small-group homeowner meetings. Proficiency with residential design/drafting software (such as 20/20, ProKitchen, AutoCAD, Chief Architect, or similar). Organized, collaborative mindset, with the ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneously. An outgoing, personable, and consultative communication style.
⭐ Nice to Have:
Kitchen cabinetry or space-planning design experience. Exterior remodeling project design experience (windows, doors, siding, decks). BuilderTrend or CRM (HubSpot or similar) experience. Experience within a design-build remodeling environment. Freelance or independent residential design business background.
💰 Compensation & Perks:
$80K–$100K base salary + commissions + profit sharing. Total compensation potential: $100K–$300K+ annually. $7,500 sign-on bonus (paid out in milestones over the first 180 days). 100% company-paid health insurance. Company vehicle + cell phone provided. 401(k) with full company match. Strong inbound project flow — all qualified leads are provided directly by the company.
This is an elite, high-end residential design environment backed by strong internal systems, premium clientele, and a forward-thinking leadership team actively investing in AI and emerging design technologies.
Note: This is an onsite position based in the Clarks Summit / Scranton, PA area. A clean driving record and criminal background check are required.
