About this role
About Enhaus
Most designers execute someone else's vision. At Enhaus, you own it. We're a design-build firm on a mission to redefine how residential construction is done in Los Angeles, and design is at the center of that mission. We don't hand off drawings and hope for the best. Our designers are embedded in the full lifecycle of every project, from concept through construction, working directly alongside project managers, field teams, and clients to make sure what gets built actually matches what was designed. Right now, that work includes rebuilding homes for families displaced by the recent LA wildfires, real people, real stakes, real meaning. We're not a developer flipping product. We're a team that cares about what we build and who we build it for. We're growing toward $100M by 2033, and we're building the design leadership team that gets us there. This role is part of that foundation.
The Role
We're looking for a Senior Interior Designer who is technically sharp, client-ready, and ready to lead. You'll own design across complex custom residential projects from schematic design through construction administration, managing a design team, running client relationships directly, and working closely with company leadership to shape how the design department operates and grows. This is not a support role. You are the design leader on your projects. You set the standard, manage the team, and are the primary point of contact for clients from day one. And unlike most design roles, this one spans the full scope, you'll have the opportunity to lead both the interior design and architectural design of projects, end to end.
What You'll Own
Design Development & Documentation - Translate design concepts into precise models and drawing sets. Incorporate markups and revisions in real time. Maintain drawing quality and coordination across active projects.Material & Finish Selections - Source and specify finishes, plumbing, lighting, and fixture packages. Prepare selection boards and lead client presentations. Implement feedback with precision and follow-through.Client Leadership - Own client relationships from kickoff through project completion. Lead design presentations, manage expectations, and deliver a white-glove experience under pressure. You are the face of design at Enhaus.Team Management - Lead and develop the design team day-to-day. Set clear expectations, review work, and hold the team to the standard. Coordinate with project managers, vendors, and field teams to ensure design intent carries through to construction.FF&E Documentation & Procurement - Own FF&E specifications, pricing, and order tracking. Maintain order logs and coordinate deliveries against jobsite schedules.
Who You Are
5+ years in interior or architectural design - residential preferredFluent in Revit and/or CAD - this is non-negotiableConfident presenting to clients and owning your scopeDetail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skillsProactive by nature - you identify what needs to happen and make it happenExperience managing or mentoring junior designersFamiliarity with LA permitting or construction administrationFF&E procurement and vendor coordination experienceExperience working in a design-build or construction-integrated environment
How We Operate
We hire, reward, and operate by three standards:
Intentional Ownership - You own your work fully. You don't wait for direction. You make decisions with confidence and follow through. All In - Your word means something here. When you commit, you go all the way.Relentless Creativity - Don't bring problems, bring solutions. Think creatively, act decisively. Every constraint is an opportunity to design better.
This Role Is Not For You If
You prefer to stay in a production lane without client exposure. You need close oversight on creative decisions. You're looking for a traditional studio environment with a slow pace and narrow scope. We move fast, hold high standards, and expect the same from everyone on the team.
Pay range and compensation package
This role is designed for a designer ready to step into leadership. As we scale, we're committed to growing design leadership from within. The right person will have a clear path to a senior leadership position within 12–24 months with increasing project ownership, client responsibility, and direct influence over company-wide design standards.
Equal Opportunity Statement
Why Enhaus - Full-spectrum design leadership - interior and architectural - on the same projects. Integrated design-build model - your work actually gets built the way you designed it. A company scaling toward $100M with genuine room to grow into leadership. Meaningful work, including rebuilding homes for LA wildfire-affected families. A team that holds itself to a high standard and wants you to raise it further.
