About this role

SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER / SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER Luxury residential interior design firm in Boston seeks a Senior Interior Designer / Project Manager. Candidate will be responsible for managing multiple high-end residential projects from concept through installation while collaborating closely with the Principal and design team. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, design, communication, organizational, and project management skills, along with the ability to oversee multiple projects of varying size and complexity while working with clients, contractors, vendors, and team members. Responsibilities will include managing residential interior design projects; supervising and mentoring design team members; assisting in the development of design concepts, furniture, lighting, color palettes, and material selections; preparing and coordinating construction and design drawing sets; creating and maintaining project timelines, budgets, proposals, and purchase orders; coordinating with contractors and vendors; managing procurement, order tracking, and installation schedules; and overseeing project construction administration and installations. Job Requirements Qualifications must include a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture and 5+ years of professional experience in high-end residential interior design. Technical skills should include proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, Design Manager, Microsoft Word, and Excel, as well as the ability to interpret and produce technical drawings. Candidates should possess excellent leadership abilities, strong attention to detail, a refined design aesthetic, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
