Position Overview Join a Nationally Recognized Architecture and Engineering Firm as a Senior Interior Designer. We are seeking a seasoned design professional to join our award-winning architecture and interior design team in St. Louis, MO. In this role you will lead high-impact projects in the healthcare, science & technology, and higher education sectors—shaping innovative, functional, and sustainable interior environments from concept to completion. Location: St. Louis, Missouri | Job Type: Full-Time | Senior Level | Industries: Architecture, Interior Design, Healthcare Design, Science & Technology, Higher Education Key Responsibilities Lead interior architecture and design projects through all phases—from concept design and development to documentation and construction administration. Develop creative, functional, and code‐compliant interior design solutions aligned with client goals and brand standards. Manage the production of interior construction documents, finish schedules, FF&E specifications, and material selections. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, engineers, and consultants to deliver cohesive project outcomes. Supervise and mentor junior interior designers, ensuring quality, performance, and professional growth. Ensure compliance with ADA standards, local building codes, and firm-wide quality protocols. Present design concepts and material palettes to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams. Oversee project budgeting, scheduling, and contract deliverables to ensure profitable and on-time delivery. Support business development through client engagement, proposal development, and presentations. Stay updated on interior design trends, innovative materials, finishes, and sustainable practices. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture (CIDA-accredited program preferred). Minimum of 8 years of professional interior design experience, ideally within healthcare, higher education, or science/technology environments. Proficiency in Revit is required; working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and other industry-standard design tools is a plus. Strong conceptual design, space planning, and programming skills. Experience managing mid- to large-scale interior design projects. Exceptional communication, presentation, and client relationship management abilities. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation skills. Demonstrated leadership with a collaborative, team-oriented approach. NCIDQ certification is preferred. LEED AP or other sustainability credentials are a plus.
