New York, NY $120,000 - $150,000 (USD) Annually Permanent Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Interior Designer to join a growing, design-forward studio with a strong focus on hospitality projects. This role presents an exciting opportunity to help shape and elevate the firm’s interior design practice while working on high-profile, design-driven projects. Key Responsibilities Lead and grow the firm’s interior design processes, setting standards for design quality, workflow, and execution. Drive projects from concept through completion, ensuring cohesive and elevated design solutions across all phases. Establish and articulate strong design narratives, translating concepts into compelling visual and technical deliverables. Present design concepts and progress confidently to clients and stakeholders. Collaborate closely with leadership to align creative direction with overall project vision and business goals. Mentor and develop junior and intermediate designers, guiding them in advancing their design thinking and technical execution. Prepare and oversee design documentation, including plans, elevations, details, and specifications. Coordinate with consultants, vendors, and project teams to ensure design intent is maintained throughout execution. Participate in project scheduling, resourcing, and internal coordination efforts. Contribute to a collaborative studio environment with a strong emphasis on communication and team development. Skills & Experience Professional degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. 8–10+ years of experience in interior design, with a strong focus on hospitality projects. Proven ability to lead projects and mentor team members. Strong client-facing skills with confidence in presentations and relationship management. Demonstrated ability to elevate design quality and push creative boundaries. Proficiency in AutoCAD required; experience with SketchUp or Rhino is highly preferred. Solid understanding of construction documentation, materials, and detailing. Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, growing studio environment. Benefits & Culture Salary range: $120,000 – $150,000, with potential for title growth based on experience.
