About this role

JOB SUMMARY: The designer will work within a team to create business interior and space planning solutions for our customers. The designer will provide customers with information and consulting expertise for their purchase of office interiors, design services, space planning and future plans. The designer will work directly with the Sales Executive lead, Project Manager and our customers not... only designing for their needs, but also in fielding furniture questions relating to budget, goals, concerns, etc. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Creative space planning and design services, using AutoCAD, CAP Studio, Worksheet, Visual Impressions and/or CET • Develop space plans, product application drawings, specifications, renderings and installation plans • Provide design support for the sales force and customers, including site and inventory verification, typical development, color boards, furniture presentations, installation drawings and specifications • Analyze and assess office furniture use and needs • Manage priorities and deadlines with the team • Maintain all project documents • Develop and offer improvements within the team/department to increase efficiencies, quality, consistency and accuracy • Maintain a live Project Design Log • Build relationships with customers SKILLS REQUIRED: • Must have a minimum of 5 years of design experience in the contract furniture industry • Must be experienced in Autocad and CAP and/or CET programs • Excellent time management and organization skills • Effective and Excellent oral and written communication skills • Creative problem solving skills to resolve complex issues • * EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS • College Degree in Interior Design or related field • State license a plus but not required PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK CONDITIONS • Occasional lifting up to ten pounds • Must be able to work in a climate controlled, office environment • Vision must be good or corrected to normal to perform normal job duties • Hearing must be good to have the ability to understand information to perform job duties • Ability to read and write in English in order to process paperwork and follow up on any actions necessary • Sitting for extended periods of time • Manual dexterity needed for keyboarding and other repetitive tasks Job Type: Full-time Benefits: • 401(k) matching • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Parental leave • Referral program • Tuition reimbursement Schedule: • Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
