Senior Interior Designer / Architect NuVu Interiors | Austin, TX | Hybrid / Flexible NuVu Interiors is a boutique commercial design firm based in Austin, TX, known for thoughtful, highly customized environments and strong client relationships. Our portfolio includes high-profile hospitality, gaming, medical, and commercial projects, including historical buildings on Congress Avenue. Notable clients include JW Marriott, EA Games, and leading healthcare organizations. We are seeking a Senior Interior Designer or Architect who is both a creative leader and a relationship builder—someone excited to help grow a small, design-driven studio. The Role This is a senior, hands-on position for an experienced designer or architect who can lead a variety of project types independently, manage and mentor designers, and actively contribute to business growth. You’ll play a key role in shaping design direction, client experience, and the future of the firm across hospitality, gaming, medical, and office space projects. What You’ll Do • Lead commercial interior design and architectural projects from concept through construction • Manage client relationships and serve as a primary point of contact • Oversee design development, documentation, and consultant coordination • Manage and mentor junior and mid-level designers/architects • Maintain project schedules, budgets, and quality standards • Bring in new work through existing relationships, networking, and referrals • Represent NuVu Interiors at client meetings, presentations, and industry events • Support proposals, interviews, and business development efforts What We’re Looking For • 8–12+ years of commercial interior design or architectural experience • Proven experience leading projects and managing designers/architects • Strong client-facing, presentation, and communication skills • Ability to bring in work and contribute to firm growth • Proficiency in Revit • Solid understanding of building codes, permitting, and consultant coordination • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working in a boutique studio environment • Experience or interest in hospitality, gaming, medical, and office space projects is highly valued Why NuVu Interiors • Leadership role with real influence and autonomy • Opportunity to help grow and shape a boutique design firm • Collaborative, flexible, and supportive studio culture • Competitive compensation based on experience • Growth and incentive potential tied to performance and business development This role is ideal for a senior designer or architect ready to lead, mentor, and help grow a design-focused firm—not just manage projects, but build something meaningful.
