Residential Remodeling Designer

Own residential remodeling projects from the first phone call through the eleven month warranty call. Run the in home consultation, measure the existing space, design floor plans, elevations, 3D views and construction documents in Chief Architect, develop scope and budget alongside the owner and production team, specify every finish and fixture, run selections meetings at our Scottsdale showroom, visit your job sites during construction, walk the final with the client, and own the warranty follow up. Projects run $100,000 to $500,000 across Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Phoenix, Tempe, Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa and Ahwatukee, with an average project around $200,000. You carry two or three projects while ramping, six to eight by the end of year one, and ten by year two. Hourly position at $32 to $38 per hour with overtime paid at time and a half past forty hours, which is roughly $67,000 to $79,000 per year. No commission structure: leads are generated by the company and handed to the designer, and the role is paid for staying with the project rather than for closing it. Requires working proficiency in Chief Architect, an associate degree or higher in interior design, architecture or a related field, enough construction literacy to work with trade partners and judge what a wall can do, and the ability to present pricing directly to homeowners. This is an in person position based at our Scottsdale showroom and on job sites. It is not remote. Mentored by our co-founder and lead designer, and reporting to the owner.
