Role Description The Residential Designer & Architect will work on projects focusing on the design and documentation of custom residential homes and renovations. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing conceptual designs, preparing detailed architectural drawings and CAD models, and refining floor plans, elevations, and interior layouts. The role involves coordinating with project managers and participating in client meetings to adjust designs based on feedback and feasibility. The designer will review building codes and local regulations, assist with material and finish selections, and support projects from initial concept through construction administration to ensure design integrity and quality. Qualifications Strong residential design skills, including experience with custom homes and high-end residential projects. Proficiency in design, with the ability to develop complete drawing sets and details. Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software and related digital design tools. Knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and residential construction methods.. Ability to collaborate effectively with clients and ZDG team to communicate design ideas clearly. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines on-site.
