Requirements of Project Designer:
A minimum of one year working in interior design or relevant experience in retail/sales is necessaryIt is beneficial to have a degree in DesignBeing familiar with hard surface flooring is advantageousAdept at elementary mathematical competenciesShowing self-initiative and adeptness at handling various tasks simultaneously in a high-speed atmosphere is a mustProficient in verbal, textual, and social communication capabilitiesElementary computer literacy, which involves familiarity with the Microsoft Office software bundleThose applying internally are required to have accumulated a year of experience in a design consultant roleResponsibilities of Project Designer:
Greet store customers in a helpful manner and supports store design walk-in needsSchedule design appointments for existing and potential customers, while developing clientele through networking and referrals, as well as leads generated within the storeProviding tile, wood, stone and accessories advice to homeowners, interior designers, and builders for both residential and commercial projects.Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutionsManage multiple, simultaneous customer projects through all phases with a high level of accuracy, timeliness and follow-up including consistent and concise communication to customers and others. Proficient and consistent use of company communication tools and emails are requiredCollaborate, partner and communicate with store leadership and employees to manage projects from inquiry to installation, and achieve sales and other goalsEnthusiastically support all company initiatives and goals by modeling and coaching best practices with store employeesEngage in current and emerging design trends in your marketResponsible for understanding and utilizing design applications i.e.; Salesforce, proprietary Online Design Appointment Scheduler, MyProjectPerform other duties as assignedWorking Conditions of Project Designer:
A car may be needed for occasional travel limitationsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to noisy.Physical/Sensory Requirements of Project Designer:
In a medium work setting, employees must be capable of exerting force within the range of 20 to 50 pounds on an intermittent basis, or 10 to 25 pounds repeatedly, and occasionally less than 10 pounds continuously, for activities like lifting, carrying, or pushing objects. Workers are often required to manipulate objects using their hands and fingers, involving tasks that require precision or sensitivity to touch.
