Project Designer

Job Summary The Project Designer position supports all Design Studio functions from managing multiple simultaneous projects to providing design assistance and troubleshooting solutions for designs. Develops design and construction packages including schematic layouts, design development, construction documents, specifications, spot rough-in utility drawings, etc. Coordinates with manufacturers through the design process to identify and effectively communicate clear design direction for a multitude of Food Service operations in a fast-paced environment. The Project Designer has a strong ability to operate independently however thrives in a Team environment to accomplish set goals. Responsibilities Job Responsibilities: Supports Design Team and executes production on multiple projects simultaneouslyProvides assistance, and troubleshooting solutions for multiple internal clientsDevelops design and construction packages including but not limited to layouts, specifications, spot rough-ins and utility schedules for commercial kitchen designsCoordinates manufacturer shop drawings for design implementation into active design documentsAdvances our position within the marketplace through continuous design improvements and offeringsCollaborates in Team environment to develop process and design improvement initiativesEngages in daily tracking of progress and show visibility of production on a daily/ weekly basisReceives feedback and implements direction from Senior Level design team members Physical Requirements Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs. Experience Collaborates in Team environments and looks to achieve “Senior Level” accomplishmentsHas minimum of 5 years of experience in Architecture or Construction related industriesMust have strong organization skills and proven ability to excel in Team environmentsCollege degree or Certification in Architecture is preferred however not requiredPossess an analytical, and detailed personality with strong ambition to succeedExperience successfully supporting client initiatives through design lifecyclesHas natural ability to see inefficiencies and strategize initiatives accordingly Education This role does not require a degree.
