You'll lead from the front, shaping projects, mentoring designers and playing a key role in growing the Boston studio. The Role As Principal Designer, you'll lead workplace and commercial interior projects from early concept through to construction delivery, while overseeing and developing the Boston design team. You'll remain heavily involved in the creative process, providing design direction across multiple projects while balancing leadership, mentoring and commercial responsibility. Working closely with clients and senior leadership, you'll lead presentations, pitches and design workshops, helping win new business while ensuring every project reflects the quality and creativity Unispace is known for. This is a role for someone who is equally comfortable leading a design team, presenting to executive stakeholders and remaining hands-on throughout the design process. What You'll Be Doing Leading and developing the Boston design team, providing mentorship and creative directionRemaining hands-on across projects, driving design from concept through to deliveryActing as the senior design lead across multiple workplace and commercial interior projectsBuilding trusted relationships with clients and acting as their strategic design advisorLeading presentations, pitches and workshops to help secure new business opportunitiesDriving creative excellence while ensuring technical feasibility and commercial successOverseeing high-quality drawing packages, FF&E specifications and Revit documentationCoordinating with internal teams and external consultants to ensure seamless project deliveryChampioning design standards, innovation and best practice across the studioWorking closely with delivery and leadership teams to ensure projects exceed client expectations What We're Looking For Extensive experience delivering workplace or commercial interior design projectsPrevious experience leading or mentoring design teamsProven experience delivering projects from concept through to siteStrong technical capability, including construction documentation and advanced Revit proficiencyExcellent client-facing skills with confidence presenting to senior stakeholdersExperience leading pitches, presentations and helping win new businessA designer who combines creative vision with technical credibility and commercial awarenessExperience within a design-and-build or fast-paced commercial environment is highly desirable Why Unispace Unispace is a global leader in workplace design and delivery, operating across 48 studios worldwide.
