This is a hands-on, fast-paced role combining interior design, furniture sourcing, home staging and on-site styling. We are looking for someone with a strong design eye who is creative, organized, efficient and comfortable making decisions independently. This is not a desk-only interior design position. Our designers are actively involved in bringing spaces to life — from selecting and sourcing furniture to pulling inventory from our warehouse and styling homes on installation day. What You’ll Do ● Design and style residential interiors, short-term rentals and staged homes ● Select furniture, rugs, lighting, art, accessories and décor ● Source products based on project style, budget and timeline ● Create mood boards and client design presentations ● Pull and coordinate furniture and accessories from our staging inventory ● Lead and assist with home staging installations throughout San Diego ● Style and merchandise spaces on-site ● Work closely with our design, warehouse and moving teams ● Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously ● Problem-solve independently when plans change in the field We’re Looking For Someone Who ● Has professional interior design, home staging or closely related experience ● Has a strong, current design aesthetic and excellent sense of scale, color and space ● Can look at a room and confidently make design decisions ● Is organized, decisive and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment ● Takes initiative and doesn’t require constant direction ● Is comfortable balancing creative design work with hands-on staging ● Is reliable, collaborative and communicates well with a team ● Is comfortable working on-site and being physically active during staging installations ● Has reliable transportation and can travel to projects throughout San Diego County ● Has flexibility in their weekly schedule, as hours may vary based on project volume and installation schedules Home staging experience is strongly preferred, but we are open to an experienced interior designer with a strong portfolio who is excited to learn the staging side of the business. Schedule & Compensation Part-time, approximately 20–35 hours per week Hours may vary from week to week based on project volume and scheduling. $30–$32 per hour, depending on experience There is potential for increased hours and growth within our design team as the role develops. To Apply Please submit: ● Your resume ● A portfolio or examples of your design/staging work ● A brief introduction telling us about your relevant experience We’d especially love to hear from you if you enjoy both the creative side of interior design and the fast-paced, hands-on process of transforming a space in real life. Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour Benefits: Paid time off Work Location: In person
