Operations Assistant

Mallory Hoggard Interiors is seeking an experienced Operations Assistnat who can help build the structure, systems, and processes needed to support a thriving interior design studio. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys creating order on the back end, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to play a meaningful role in shaping the future of a growing business. This role is part-time at approximately 20 hours per week, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position. As Operations Assistant will work directly with the Principal Designer to build and refine business systems, support day-to-day operations and improve efficiency. Responsibilities Develop and implement operational systems, workflows, and proceduresSupport day-to-day operations.Assist in project management, scheduling, orders and client updates.Support communication between the designer, clients and vendors.Prepare proposals and invoices as well as puchase orders and expenses.This role may also support basic administrative tasks such as answering inquiries, preparing meeting materials, and assisting with office organization. Qualifications Experience in interior design, kitchen and bath, home furnishings, remodeling, new builds or a related field strongly preferred.Proven ability to create systems, processes, and organizational structureStrong project management and organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesSelf-starter who can work independently and anticipate needsComfortable wearing multiple hats in a growing entrepreneurial environmentProficiency with Google Drive and Quickbooks.Attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and proficiency with office and project management software (e.g., spreadsheets, calendars, task tracking tools).High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, operations, or a related field is preferred. Compensation based on experience.
