Multifamily Designer

Job Description UFP Site Built is the leader in designing and manufacturing value-added wood and non-wood products for the construction industry. We offer a wide variety of wood structural components, aluminum decks and rails, and light gauge steel structural components. The Multifamily Designer is responsible for the accurate design of the roof and floor trusses, walls, and components for single-family, multi-family, and commercial projects, and other industrial-engineered products. Location Burlington, NC preferred - possibility for remote. Principal Duties And Responsibilities Designs metal plate-connected wood trusses and wall panels utilizing adequate softwareOptimizes designs for maximum efficiencyReviews orders, layouts, and data files for accuracyAssists sales and production with design service and troubleshootingEnsures efficient resource utilization and initiates corrective action as requiredPrepares various reports as requiredPerforms other duties as required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience is requiredMinimum 7+ years of experience in related field/responsibilitiesWorking knowledge and experience using Mitek software are preferredWorking knowledge of floor and rood systems and the ability to spec out beams and hangarsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook The Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
