About this role
Overview This role sits on the in-house design team and reports to the Principal Designer. You will work collaboratively alongside the Principal Designer primarily as a support and be an important part of helping projects come together. You will work out of your home office as well as in the field for all aspects of the sales, design, and production process.
We are a design-led remodeling company which means we understand the value of design in every aspect of the remodeling process. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and shape custom designs that bring to life a shared vision. You will also work in partnership with the Principal Designer to develop deliverables such as mood boards, plans, and material selections. You will play a key role in planning, design, and execution of all our projects.

Essential Responsibilities Design: Support the Principal Designer in all aspects of the design and build process.
Collaborate to develop mood boards, client presentations, and material selections.
Work directly with clients to understand their needs and develop a design that meets the vision.
Research and specify items and materials to meet the varying needs of each project.
Use Chief Architect or other design software to develop floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings.
Travel onsite to various projects to collect measurements and mark placements for installations.
Develop cabinetry design plans for kitchens, bathrooms, living rooms, and more.
Perform design administration during construction, ensuring design requirements are met and marking where corrections are needed.
Participate in regular design review meetings, both internal and client facing.
Stage completed projects for photography and video.
Produce and maintain FF&E schedules.
Take notes during client review meetings and distribute via BuilderTrend.
Required Qualifications Minimum of 3 years residential interior design experience or related field.
Ability to meet hard deadlines.
Strong attention to detail.
Experience developing designs using interior design software such as Chief Architect or SketchUp.
Ability to research and find selections within budget.
Ability to establish and maintain collaborative, positive, and effective working relationships with managers, peers, clients and vendors.
Ability to present designs to clients and peers, seek feedback, and have a strong point of view.
Good communication skills, personable demeanor, and sense of humor.
Proficient in English writing and speaking; clear communication of concepts, thoughts and ideas.
Experience with Microsoft or Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
Reliable transportation, valid license, and insurance.
Travel required for jobsite visits, showroom visits, company events, etc.
Lives in the Greater Seattle/Tacoma area.
Adherence to company policies and procedures.
