Junior Upholstery Technician

Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Upholstery Technician to join our team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone interested in learning the upholstery trade, working with their hands, and developing craftsmanship skills in furniture restoration and custom fabrication. Key Responsibilities Assist senior technicians with upholstery projects including sofas, chairs, cushions, and custom piecesRemove existing fabric, padding, and materials from furnitureMeasure, cut, and apply fabric, foam, and battingOperate basic upholstery tools and equipment (staple guns, sewing machines, etc.)Maintain a clean and organized workspaceInspect finished work to ensure quality standards are metLoad/unload furniture and assist with shop logistics as neededQualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferredPrevious experience in upholstery, woodworking, sewing, or construction is a plus, but not requiredWillingness to learn and take directionStrong attention to detail and craftsmanshipGood hand-eye coordination and manual dexterityAbility to lift and move furniture (70+ lbs)Reliable, punctual, and team-orientedSkills & Attributes Basic measuring and math skillsMechanical aptitudePositive attitude and strong work ethicInterest in furniture restoration, design, or hands-on tradesCompensation & Benefits Competitive hourly wage based on experienceOn-the-job training and skill developmentOpportunities for advancement within the companyWork Environment Workshop setting with exposure to tools, fabrics, adhesives, and machineryPhysical role requiring standing, bending, and lifting throughout the dayPay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour Benefits: Paid time offWork Location: In person
