Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Houston. The Junior Interior Designer will develop design concepts, space plans, material palettes and technical drawings that reflect the company's integrated product and interior design ethos. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing architectural plans, creating schematic designs and programming presentations, creating technical drawings, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure design intent is accurately executed. The role involves collaborating with trades and other professionals, attending client meetings, and supporting showroom presentations. The Jr. Interior Designer will also assist with project documentation, timelines, and procurement across residential, hospitality, and commercial projects.
Qualifications
Strong Interior Design skills, including concept development, material selection, and detailing.Proficiency in Space Planning to create functional, aesthetically cohesive layouts for residential and commercial environments.Proficiency in producing and reading architectural drawings and related technical documentation.Proficiency in design and documentation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp) and standard office tools.Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design.Ability to work on-site in our Houston showroom located in the Montrose neighborhood.Collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team.Experience with high-end, luxury, or international product lines is a plus; NCIDQ or other relevant certification is beneficial.
