About The Role: We’re excited to be partnering with a highly respected architecture and design practice in Los Angeles that is seeking an Intermediate Interior Designer to join its collaborative and mission-driven team. The successful candidate will play an active role throughout the entire project lifecycle, contributing to interior architecture, space planning, finish selections, technical documentation, and construction administration. This role is full time in office with some flexibility. Key Responsibilities: Contribute to educational, civic, and community-focused projects through all phases of designDevelop space plans, interior layouts, finish palettes, material selections, reflected ceiling plans, and lighting concepts that support both functional and aesthetic project goalsProduce and coordinate detailed drawing packages, including plans, elevations, interior details, schedules, and construction documentationCollaborate closely with project architects, consultants, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure successful project deliveryAssist with material research, finish specifications, furniture selections, and product evaluations while maintaining alignment with project objectives and budget requirementsParticipate in client meetings, presentations, design workshops, and consultant coordination meetingsReview submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and finish samples throughout the documentation and construction phasesConduct site visits and support construction administration activities to ensure quality control and adherence to design intentMaintain project schedules, documentation, and organizational systems across multiple active projectsContribute creatively and technically within a highly collaborative studio environment, supporting both design excellence and project execution Key Skills / Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture5 – 8 years of professional experience within interior architecture, educational design, commercial interiors, civic, institutional, or community-focused projectsStrong understanding of interior architecture, space planning, finish selection, lighting coordination, and technical detailingProven experience producing comprehensive construction documentation and supporting projects through construction administrationAdvanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp is requiredStrong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyExperience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, and clients throughout all project phasesNCIDQ certification, CID certification, or progress toward professional licensure is highly desirable To apply for this position please click on the apply button to attach your resume (and portfolio for design positions).
