The Crowd are excited to be partnering with an internationally recognized design studio in Washington, DC that is seeking an Intermediate Hospitality Interior Designer to join its talented and collaborative team. This is an exciting opportunity for a well-rounded designer to contribute to a diverse range of hospitality projects from concept through completion and will work closely with senior designers, principals, consultants, and project teams to develop innovative design solutions, produce detailed documentation, and help bring creative visions to life. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in hospitality interiors, with experience across design development, FF&E, material selections, and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to hospitality and F&B projects throughout all phases of design, from initial concepts through construction completionCollaborate with senior designers and project leaders to develop creative design solutions that align with project goals and client expectationsAssist with concept development, space planning, FF&E selections, finish palettes, material research, and presentation developmentProduce and coordinate detailed interior design documentation, including drawings, specifications, schedules, and presentation materialsDevelop thoughtful design details and support the execution of design intent through technical phasesCoordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure successful project deliveryParticipate in client presentations, design reviews, team meetings, and project coordination discussionsReview shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and material samples during documentation and construction phasesSupport site visits and construction administration efforts to maintain quality and ensure design standards are achievedManage project responsibilities effectively, including deadlines, deliverables, and time management across multiple projectsContribute ideas, creativity, and technical expertise within a highly collaborative studio environment
Key Skills / Requirements:
Bachelor’s in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related field5+ years of professional interior design experience, ideally within hospitality, restaurant, hotel, or luxury commercial projectsStrong understanding of hospitality interiors, FF&E, materiality, detailing, and the overall design processExperience working through multiple project phases, from concept design through construction documentation and completionProficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp requiredExperience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, is preferredStrong technical documentation skills with a keen eye for detail and design qualityUnderstanding of building codes, accessibility requirements, and construction processesExcellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teamsHighly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced design environmentExperience with hospitality or multi-family residential projects is required
