Interior Space Planner / Designer

DESCRIPTION: St. John Properties is seeking a motivated interior designer with 3+ years professional commercial design experience. The position would support our Tampa Regional Partner and Construction team. They will prepare construction plans that are necessary for pricing, construction and permitting purposes. This position is an extension of our sales team and will be expected to play a role in the acquisition and retention of clients, under the direction of our Regional Partner. RESPONSIBILITIES: Service the design needs of the Tampa office.Meet with leasing teams and potential/existing clients to determine client’s requirementsDevelop a space plan based on those requirementsGenerate pricing drawings to forward to Interior Construction Department to prepare construction estimatePrepare final set of drawings for construction and permitting purposesProficient understanding of local building code and ordinancesMeet with clients to select finishesBuild, manage and use the contents of the St. John Properties on-site design centerCoordinate planning and construction process with vendors and project managersCoordination between the future Leasing Department and Interior Construction Department Job Qualifications Must know REVIT and use it proficiently. A skills test will be issued during the interview process.Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture3+ years of experience in commercial interiors, 5+ years preferredStrong attention to detailNCIDQ accreditation or enrollmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCompetency in application of commercial building and accessibility codes The St. John Properties Tampa office is currently located in downtown Tampa. The St. John Properties Tampa team is currently constructing its permanent office on State Road 54 in Pasco County. Regular in-person/onsite attendance is an essential function of the job.
