About this role

Job Summary (read to the bottom for instructions): Four Brothers LLC is a Washington DC-based design + build company providing architecture, design, and construction services focusing primarily on residential renovations. We are seeking an interior design-focused professional to support interior selections, finish coordination, and material management across residential renovation projects. This role bridges the gap between architecture and interior design — ideal for someone with an eye for aesthetics, an understanding of construction and detailing, and the ability to coordinate finishes cohesively throughout a project. The right candidate is not required to be an architect or full-service interior designer, but should be comfortable working with drawings, specifications, vendors, and clients to help bring well-executed spaces together. This is a client-facing role. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential. The candidate should feel confident in their ability to foster professional relationships, guide homeowners through selections, discuss personal design decisions, and represent the company throughout the design and construction process. Duties/Responsibilities: Coordinate interior finish and material selections for residential renovation projects. Create presentations to assist clients in selecting cabinetry, countertops, tile, plumbing fixtures, lighting, paint colors, and hardware. Develop cohesive material palettes that align with project goals, budgets, and architectural character. Maintain and organize finish schedules, specifications, and product documentation. Collaborate with architects, project managers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure design intent is accurately executed. Review drawings and construction documents to coordinate material transitions, details, and installation requirements. Source products, obtain samples, and track lead times and procurement status. Provide a positive experience for clients throughout the process Required Skills/Abilities: Comfort with direct interaction with clients Self-motivated with a desire to learn Excellent problem-solving and self-organization skills Strong attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Team collaboration Passion for architectural and interior design Qualifications: Background in interior design, architecture, construction, or a related field. Strong understanding of residential projects and material detailing. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Exposure to architectural and design software such as the AdobeSuite, Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, or similar platforms is desireable. Multiple levels of experience will be considered, and salary will be based on experience. If you feel you would make an excellent addition to our team, please contact us through the Careers page on our website: https://www.fourbrothersdc.com/jobs/ Please include your resume, portfolio, and a short statement describing your qualifications and why you'd be a good fit.
