Company Description ITO ITO is an interior plant design studio based in the San Francisco Bay Area that plans and implements site-specific interior plant environments. For over 15 years the studio has collaborated with architects, interior designers and independent artists and craftspeople to realize projects for commercial and hospitality spaces. Role Description This is a part-time, 25-32 hours per week , on-site role for Interior Plant Maintenance that will be addressed at various locations around the San Francisco Bay Area including the North Bay (Tiburon and Corte Madera), East Bay (Berkeley and Oakland), San Francisco and potentially a handful of locations in the South Bay as things progress. The role involves tasks related to interior plant maintenance, including traveling to various sites around the San Francisco Bay Area and tending to plant installations. Plant maintenance tasks include watering, trimming, dusting, fertilizing, and tracking/sourcing plant replacements. Creativity and an eye for design aesthetics are important parts of this role. In addition to maintaining the physical health of plants, this job requires a strong attention to the aesthetic details of our projects in order to uphold visual balance and interest. A car and valid drivers license is necessary for this job. Employee will be compensated for mileage. Responsibilities Provide care for interior plants, ensuring they are healthy and thriving through regular watering, pruning, and fertilizing. Utilize knowledge to operate necessary tools and equipment for plant maintenance. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their plant care needs and provide excellent customer service. Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks as needed. Experience using a task management app is a plus Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Physical stamina to handle plant maintenance tasks, you'll be on the move! Ability to lift 10-20 lbs. regularly, less frequently up to 50 lbs. Excellent listening skills and kind, honest and courteous customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
