About this role
This position will have a design or technical focus and be a member of our multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with design and technical leadership and will be an integral part of project teams. Under the direct supervision of designated project leadership the primary responsibilities will include the With limited direction, Assist Senior Interior Designer and/or Project Manager with the execution of the project goals throughout all phases (Programming, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Assist in the development of the design including planning and Independently assist in the design development and documentation of interior spaces to include drawings of floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, pattern Provide support to the Senior Interior Designer with furniture, fixtures and equipment (FFE) selection, layout and specifications throughout all phases of interior design work, as required.
Produce drawings in conformance with project time, cost and quality Identify, research and apply building and life safety codes to applicable interior design work.
Prepare renderings and other presentation materials.
Follow CannonDesign drawing standards.
Participate in client meetings with Senior Interior Designer to gain client Participate in construction administration activities, including site visits, Site visits frequently require a physical walk-through of site.
Mentor less experienced interior design staff and provide guidance in the development of project documents.
Actively participate and promote design quality.
Understand proper application of materials.
Bachelor or Master's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or relevant field required.
Must be able to participate the development of projects' technical or design characteristics and content.
Strong creative design portfolio is essential as are strong communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects.
Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required.
Travel as required.
The salary range for this position to be filled in our Chicago, IL office is $work experience, education and/or skill level. discretionary bonuses.
