About the position As a Gensler Interior Designer with our team in Tampa, your job is to combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. You will collaborate with your teammates to develop design solutions, as well as coordinate design through the construction documentation and construction administration phases of core and shell and interior architecture projects. You will be successful because you already know how to translate sketches and documents into realized 2D/3D models and images and can research artistic and/or technical issues when they arise. Responsibilities Perform interior design assignments that include programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning and construction documentationParticipate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lightingGenerate floor plans, finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for constructionProvide design support and documentation during completion and execution of design conceptsResponsible for Construction Documentation and Construction Administration, supporting the delivery of the project design intentWork on multiple teams and support concurrent projects in varying phases of project deliveryManage external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricatorsAs a self-motivated designer with strong Revit skills, you can jump in and produce test fits and project deliverablesRequirements Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from an accredited university3-7 years of commercial interior design experience – ideally for Workplace , Healthcare or Mixed Use projectsProficient with Revit, SketchUp, 3D, Enscape, and other modeling software programs, such as Rhino, Grasshopper and/or DynamoProficient with Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign a must)Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specificationsStrong knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specificationsGraphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideasDemonstrated commitment to resilience and sustainable building practicesNice-to-haves NCIDQ certified (if you are on the path to certification, please contact Stacie_Smith@gensler.com to determine whether there are other roles that may be of interest)LEED AP is preferredPlease include a portfolio (ideally showcasing your experience with the aforementioned project types) along with your resume.Benefits comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, wellness programs, flex spending, paid holidays, and paid time offWe also offer a 401k, profit sharing, employee stock ownership, and twice annual bonus opportunitiesAs part of the firm’s commitment to licensure and professional development, Gensler offers reimbursement for certain professional licenses and associated renewals and exam fees.
