Job Scope - the Interior Designer will: Establish rapport with guests in a low-stress environmentInterpret and translate client needs into visional presentationDefine project requirements and schedule during the initial meeting or home visitManage design projects from concept to completionSet costs and project fees according to client's budget and needsResearch and decide on product, materials and fabrics sourcingProduce sample, mood boards and presentationsKeep abreast of project progression and timelinessWork closely with clients and support teamsResearch and follow industry changes, evolutions and best practicesSkills and Experience - the Interior Designer will have: Proven work experience in designing interior spaces (consultations, renovations, space planning & new construction)History of exceeding sales goals in a luxury retail or furniture showroom settingExpertise in layout, color, lighting, materials, fabrics, custom furniture, custom window treatments, accessories, rugs & moreExperience in Floor Planner, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator or other design programs a plusImpressive portfolio of previous workCreative talent, imagination and eye for designExcellent communication and presentation skillsSuccessful project management skillsRequirements - the Interior Designer will possess the following: Bachelor's degree in interior design or similar preferredAbility to make home calls to customers to provide a complete design solutionValid driver's license with a good driving record and ability to provide own transportation to and from clients' homesWillingness to work weekends and some holidays (no nights)When you join our team, you'll have the opportunity to travel to High Point Market and to our vendors' factories for training. You will also have the support of your colleagues and management. Our compensation is incentive-based with a portion of your commissions paid on written sales! You'll have a bi-weekly draw, many bonus opportunities, and comprehensive benefits.
