Role Description This is a full-time, on-site/hybrid role based in the Austin, Texas Metropolitan Area for an Interior Designer | Project Manager. The role involves guiding interior design projects from concept to completion, managing the creation of interior layouts, developing detailed construction drawings, and coordinating with architecture teams. Responsibilities also include space planning, FF&E selections, and collaborating with clients to ensure designs meet their functional and aesthetic needs while adhering to project timelines and budgets. Urban Foundry Architecture is looking for a bright, self-driven, and energetic Interior Designer | Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate is highly motivated and able to work both self-directed and in collaborative teams on complex projects. Your ability to problem-solve, meet deadlines, and assist the team in managing client expectations would make you an asset to our firm. Duties / Responsibilities Design and management of small and medium-sized projects that meet schedule and budget requirementsCreation and/or execution of design conceptsCreation of renderings, graphics, and presentation documentsCreation of Construction DocumentationAnalysis and evaluation of commercial codes and accessibility regulationsPermit processing coordinationFF&E selection and procurement coordinationExecuting projects from Programming through Construction AdministrationConsultant managementField VerificationClient management and project presentationsAssist with maintaining and improving office design, detail, and specification standardsIndustry best practices research and implementationOversees assigned project staffCollaboration with teammates Qualifications 6-9 years of relevant work experienceBachelor's degree in Interior Design (CIDA accredited university)Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Enscape/rendering software, Bluebeam, Procore, and AI softwareCandidate desires to pursue NCIDQ path or has NCIDQ certificationExcellent communication and client relation skillsEfficiency in work processProactive critical path task managementOrganized and detail orientedInnate and strong design senseProgramming experienceStrong space planning abilitiesCommercial building and accessibility code knowledgeStrong design presentation experienceConsultant interaction and management experienceConstruction Administration experienceCommercial experience requiredWorkplace experience requiredMulti-family experience (preferred, not required)Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Benefits Hybrid work scheduleHealth Insurance401k employer matchingGenerous PTO and paid holidaysPath to ownershipMobility incentives for alternative transportation to workDog-friendly officeNo timesheets!
