Role Description The Interior Designer – Model Homes is a full-time, on-site role based in Farmers Branch, TX. This position is responsible for planning and designing model home interiors, including space planning, FF&E selections, and coordination with project stakeholders. Day-to-day tasks include developing design concepts and presentations, preparing construction drawings and specifications, and collaborating with architects, contractors, and vendors. The role also involves site visits to review progress, verifying installations against design plans, and resolving design-related issues as needed. The Interior Designer will manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintain project documentation, and ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Interior Design and FF&E selection, including finishes, furniture, fixtures, and accessories.Candidates should possess skills in Space Planning to create functional, aesthetically pleasing layouts for model homes.Candidates should possess skills in Architecture and Construction Drawings, including reading, interpreting, and coordinating design documents.Candidates should possess strong visual presentation skills, including mood boards, design boards, and basic digital design tools.Relevant qualifications include a degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.Beneficial skills include knowledge of residential design trends, proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar), and experience working with homebuilders or developers.Additional qualifications include strong organizational and time-management skills, clear communication, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams on-site.
