Position: Interior Designer II at Goodwyn Mills Cawood LLC in Columbia, South Carolina Interior Designer IIOur Architecture and Interiors Team is actively seeking an Interior Designer II in either our Columbia, SC, Charleston, SC, or Charlotte, NC office. We're looking for an experienced Interior Designer who is ready to be an instrumental part of our team, supporting not just Carolinas, but other offices across our footprint throughout the southeast.We're a company with a vision towards growth that's dependent on having great people equipped to do their best. We are always looking for great people that can exceed our expectations and find a place for them.Essential functions and responsibilities include:Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering softwareStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteSolid understanding of industry best practices, ADA codes, building materials, and construction detailingAbility to manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines and coordinate schedules effectivelyExperience performing QA/QC reviews to ensure quality and accuracyStrong team leadership and collaboration skillsWillingness to support interior design efforts locally, regionally, and across the firmJob RequirementsBachelor's degree in Interior Design from an accredited four-year college or universityNCIDQ certification or equivalent required8+ years of interior design experience preferredDemonstrated expertise in layout, color, lighting, materials selection, and installationStrong communication skills with the ability to be both persuasive and diplomatic (verbal and visual)Proven ability to deliver consistent, high-quality client serviceDetail-oriented with a strong focus on quality assuranceAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentMaintains a sense of urgency while working effectively under pressureDemonstrates creativity, initiative, and reliabilityPrior team leadership or management experience preferredEffective communicator with internal teams and external clientsStrategic mindset with an understanding of the AEC industry and business development processesEqual Opportunity Employer/Disability/VeteransThe GMC Architecture Practice is a community of knowledgeable planning and design professionals that operate with a collaborative, client-focused approach.
