Interior Designer - Builder Showroom

About the position Advanced Interiors is seeking a Builder Design Team Member. This designer will work alongside a team to serve builders in the area. Advanced Interiors is the industry leader in providing interior finishes to the residential new home market, focusing not only on the products but also the services that the new homebuilder needs. We also serve the retail, remodeling, commercial, and multi-family markets. Our business has grown to include not only flooring, but also a full offering of cabinetry and a Stone Division where we fabricate our own Granite and Quartz. Responsibilities Working with clients for the interior selections in their new home finishes, including flooring, counters and cabinetry.Helping clients to stay within their budget allowances.Documenting, typing, and communicating information based on design appointments.Collaborating with other staff members of the Builder Design Team to best serve our clientsSampling/merchandising of design showroomsRequirements Interior Design degree and minimum 2 years' experience in design and/or interior selections, and the residential building market is ideal.communication skills – both verbal on the phone and in person, and with grammatical written correspondencekeen customer service skillshighly detail-oriented and accuratefollow up, and follow through skillsteam and individual problem solving, efficiency, time management and prioritization skillscreative, and enjoys the process of selecting materialsability to multitask well in an active and shared workspacecreative with a can-do attitudeability to shift and be flexible when unexpected change arises
