Interior Designer

Interior Designer / CAD Drafter | Hospitality & Commercial Projects Location: Clermont, FL — in office Tuesdays and Thursdays; remote Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays DAI is a small interior design firm specializing in hospitality projects. We also work on restaurants, offices, medical spaces, and other commercial interiors. We’re looking for a designer to help move new and ongoing projects from concept through installation. We welcome applicants with either a broad interior design background or strong drafting and construction documentation skills. If your strength is producing accurate, detailed drawing sets, we’d like to hear from you. What you’ll do Develop plans, elevations, details, and design documentationWrite specifications Coordinate with architects and contractorsReview submittals and RFIs Support project management, construction administration, and installations Contribute to design concepts, finish and furniture selections (depending on experience) We’re looking for someone who pays close attention to detail, communicates well, collaborates with others, and takes initiative. An understanding of construction methods and familiarity with ADA requirements and the International Building Code are valuable. We welcome someone who is eager to learn and grow professionally. Qualifications  Associate degree in interior design or drafting required; bachelor’s degree in interior design or a related field preferredProficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Word, and Excel requiredTwo or more years of experience preferred Photoshop, InDesign, and NCIDQ certification are plusesMust communicate well, collaborate with colleagues and project partners, and take initiative in moving work forward. We’re looking for someone who wants to grow professionally.Authorization to work in the United States requiredSome travel, usually local, may be required.
