About this role

Job Description: We are seeking a talented Intermediate Interior Designer to join our busy retail showroom team working side by side with the principal designer. In this role, you will be the bridge between a client’s dream and reality. You will lead residential kitchen and bath projects from initial consultation through final product delivery, utilizing your stellar spatial planning skills, sharp AutoCAD proficiency, and impeccable taste in materials to create unforgettable spaces. We are seeking expert-level experience in drafting complete construction plan sets and managing city permit submittals for high-end luxury residential projects and major renovations. AutoCAD proficiency and 2020 Design experience alone do not meet the requirements. We'd be interested in reviewing candidates with strong luxury residential design and construction documentation experience. What You’ll Do: Bring Concepts to Life: Working with the principal designer, you'll walk clients through the design journey, translating their vision into stunning, highly functional layouts. Draft with Precision: Create flawless, detailed construction documents, floor plans, and elevations using AutoCAD, ensuring every cabinet, plumbing fixture, and electrical point is perfectly specified. Interacting with city building departments, engineers, contractors, and other trades. Curate Materials & Finishes: Guide clients through our showroom to select cabinetry, countertops, appliances, tile, hardware, and fixtures, creating cohesive material palettes that match their aesthetic and budget. Drive Client Success: Act as the point of contact for the retail showroom visitors and scheduled clients, delivering an upscale, consultative customer experience that builds trust and closes sales. Collaborate & Deliver: Work closely with the principal designer, contractors, trade partners, and internal team members to ensure design integrity and seamless execution during construction. What We’re Looking For: Experience: 3 to 5 years of dedicated residential interior design experience, with a focus on high end kitchen and bath projects, along with whole-home remodeling. Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD is a absolute must. A Visual Storyteller: Exceptional visualization skills with the ability to hand-sketch or render ideas on the fly during client meetings. A People Person: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. You love hospitality, active listening, and making clients feel confident throughout the design process. Schedule Flexibility: This is a full-time role based on the needs of our retail showroom. Availability to work two Saturdays per month is required to connect with our weekend foot traffic with alternating 3-day weekends.
