Location: Austin, TX, In-Office
Company: AGC Home Remodeling
About Us
AGC Home Remodeling is a fast-growing design and build construction company looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and client-focused Interior Designer to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone who loves bringing a client’s vision to life, has a sharp eye for residential aesthetics, and enjoys the hands-on process of material selection and procurement. You’ll work closely with our clients, management, and construction teams to guide remodeling projects beautifully from initial design concepts through material ordering and final execution.
If you thrive in a dynamic environment, communicate beautifully, and want to make a tangible impact on a growing company, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
Design & Client Collaboration – Meet with clients to understand their goals, develop design concepts, create mood boards, and guide them through the layout and aesthetic process.
Material Selection – Partner with clients to source and select all interior finishes, including cabinets, tile, flooring, fixtures, countertops, windows, doors, hardware, and paint colors.
Vendor & Showroom Coordination – Work closely with suppliers, showrooms, and vendors to request quotes, confirm trade pricing, and stay updated on the latest product trends and availability.
Estimating & Allowance Tracking – Help prepare and manage design budgets, ensuring client selections align with project scopes, allowances, and pricing tiers.
Purchase Orders & Procurement – Take ownership of the ordering process. Process purchase orders, track material deliveries, monitor lead times, and coordinate with the construction team to ensure everything arrives on time and to specification.

✔ Design & Material Knowledge: Strong familiarity with residential construction materials, finishes, and the remodeling process.
✔ Detail-Oriented: Crucial for accurately tracking client selections, pricing, lead times, and purchase orders without letting anything slip through the cracks.

✔ Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with design/space-planning software (e.g., Chief Architect, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or 2020), spreadsheets, and CRM/project management tools.
✔ Organized & Proactive: Able to manage multiple client portfolios simultaneously, follow up consistently, and keep the selection process moving forward.
