About this role

Interior Designer Position A boutique residential interior design firm in Wayzata area is seeking a talented interior designer with proven success in high-end residential design and endless creativity. This position offers an incredible opportunity for an energetic, motivated and passionate individual to be creative and work with top builders and clients in the Twin Cities This position will be working directly with the principal of the firm and is responsible for developing and executing the design from the conceptual and presentation stage through the completion of final installation. Responsibilities Include: • Support principal with all aspects of projects • Client meetings • Concept presentations • On-site measurements and photos with Design Assistant. • Floor plans, color and material schemes. • Project management including developing and manaaging budgets, project timeline and deliverables. • CAD drawings, hand sketch ability preferred. • Prepare all documentation and manage the Design Assistant to input proper product details and specifications for purchasing. • Working with the Expeditor to ensure all items are ordered and received in time for installations. • On-site coordination with clients, builders, architects and subcontractors. • Assist in management of Design Assistant. • Have current style sense and ability to create unique designs Requirements Include: • Must hold a degree in Interior Design or have had 3-4 years proven success in another design firm. • Must be able to demonstrate strong capabilities in handling and overseeing a projet from concept through final installation. • Must be able to work efficiently and effectively under deadlines • Proficiency in construction drawings, codes, materials, furniture, finish selections and specifications. • Proficiency in CAD, Sketchup, Adobe Photo Shop, Excel and Canva. • Knowledge of project management systems is preferred, such as Asana. • Knowledge of Studio Designer is a big plus; knowledge of other design purchasing software is expected. • Must be extremely professional, reliable and punctual. • Be able to work late as needed, have personal stability and live within 30 minutes of Wayzata. • must possess extensive product and vendor knowledge. • Self-motivated and strong time management skills to successfully work on multiple projects. • Must have well-developed delegation skills. • Clear speaking voice with a pleasant and professional presence. • Must have a valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle.
