The Role
This is a design support role focused on FF&E and millwork documentation, detailing, and coordination. You’ll play a critical role in translating design concepts into clear, constructible drawings—particularly for custom millwork, equipment integration, and furniture solutions.
Working alongside interior designers and architects, you’ll support project teams across multiple phases—from design development through construction—contributing to the technical execution of interior environments. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in interior design (academic or real-world) who enjoys the technical side of design and wants to deepen their expertise in detailing and documentation.
What We’re Looking For
3-5+ years of experience in interior design or design support (internships and relevant experience count too!)Degree in Interior Design or related field preferred (or equivalent hands-on experience)Strong foundational knowledge of interior construction and detailing, especially millworkProficiency in:Revit (required; including families, detailing, and documentation workflows)Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Adobe Acrobat (Photoshop/InDesign a plus)Experience producing or supporting:Millwork drawings and shop drawing packagesInterior elevations, plans, and detailing setsCoordination of power/data integration within millwork or furnitureFamiliarity with FF&E selection, specifications, and vendor/dealer coordinationAbility to read and interpret architectural drawings and redlinesStrong attention to detail and organization—especially in documentation accuracyClear, proactive communicator who works well within a team environmentComfort balancing multiple tasks while maintaining consistency and follow-throughInterest in learning about codes, constructability, and interdisciplinary coordinationAbility to work in-person Monday–Friday in Chandler, AZWillingness to travel occasionally (as needed for project support)Nice to Have:
Experience with healthcare, wellness, or commercial interiorsExposure to working with fabricators or reviewing submittals/shop drawings
What You’ll Do
Support the development and production of Revit-based drawing sets, with a focus on millwork and interior detailingCreate and refine millwork elevations, sections, and custom details, including integration of equipment, lighting, and power/dataAssist in developing and coordinating FF&E packages, including detailed product specificationsReview dealer cost estimates for accuracy with design intentCollaborate with interior designers, architects, consultants, and fabricators to ensure alignment across drawings and scopesHelp translate conceptual design into clear, buildable documentationAssist with material and finish coordination tied to millwork and furniture solutionsSupport preparation of presentation materials and internal design documentationMaintain organized project files and assist with keeping deliverables on trackWhy This Role Is Different
