Well Appointed Interiors is a residential interior design firm based in Houston, TX with local and out of state projects.
Social Media/Design Internship. This is a part-time 20-hours per week, 10 week, paid internship. No prior experience is necessary, but we're looking for someone who is passionate about interior design and social media and who enjoys creating content and growing social media channels. You will work closely with our principal interior designer to create engaging content related to the interior design firm.
Responsibilities - Essential Job Functions
Assists with managing the social media calendar to ensure timely and relevant content deliveryContributes to posting approved content onto our various platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, Threads) in a timely and engaging mannerPresenting content ideas for approval and executing ideas with little direction. Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned. These may include assisting with install days or creating content during project installations or photography and assisting with sample pick-ups.
Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Strong understanding of social media platforms: Proficiency in using platforms like Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Threads, etc.Excellent written and verbal communication skills: Ability to craft engaging and informative contentCreative and innovative thinking: Capacity to generate fresh and interesting ideasKnowledge of social media analytics: Understanding of tools like Google Analytics, Monday, or Facebook Meta Business Suite to track and analyze performanceBasic graphic design skills: Familiarity with tools like Canva or Adobe Photoshop is a plusUnderstanding of SEO and content marketing: Knowledge of optimizing content for search engines and attracting the target audienceManages and tracks office administrative duties, creating and maintaining clear systems for documentation and task organization.
Required Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of ageCurrently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate programAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Willingness to receive feedback and make revisions as needed.Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.Must have reliable transportation
Start Date
Ideally this position would start early June.
Physical Abilities
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of items up to 30 lbs, such as papers, books, small furniture or decor items; or driving an automobile.
Work Schedule And Conditions
This is a hybrid position with some work being in person and some remote.
