About the RoleiHub is a dynamic startup incubator where early-stage founders build, iterate, and grow their ventures. Our Founders Floor is the heartbeat of that work β and we're looking for a motivated Interior Design Intern to help us reimagine it.
Your challenge: unlock the potential already in the room. Using only our existing furniture, you'll assess the current space, gather input from the founders who use it daily, and design a smarter, more inspiring layout. No new purchases. Just thoughtful, human-centered design.
This is a real project with real impact β from initial walkthrough to Moving Day.
What You'll DoAssess the current Founders Floor layout, documenting furniture placement, traffic flow, and pain pointsInterview founders to understand their workspace needs and preferencesDevelop a proposed furniture rearrangement that improves flow, functionality, and aestheticsPresent your design to iHub management and refine it through an approval processProduce a professional layout sheet with annotated rationale for every placement decisionLead "Moving Day" β coordinating the physical rearrangement of the space per the approved planDeliverables1. Approved Layout Sheet β A polished document showing the final furniture arrangement with written justification for each decision, formally approved by iHub management.
2. Moving Day Execution β On-site coordination and oversight of the full physical rearrangement.
You're a Great Fit If You...Are currently enrolled in (or recently graduated from) an Interior Design, Architecture, or related programHave a foundational grasp of space planning, traffic flow, and human-centered designCommunicate confidently β you're comfortable interviewing founders and presenting to leadershipAre organized and self-directed, able to manage a flexible, low-hours schedule independentlyHave experience with floor plan tools (hand sketching, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar) β a plusHave a genuine interest in startups and entrepreneurship β also a bonusWhat You'll Gainβ
End-to-end interior design project experience β from assessment through implementation

A strong portfolio piece: a professionally executed, real-world workspace redesign

Exposure to a startup incubator and access to a network of early-stage founders

Mentorship and feedback from iHub leadership throughout

A letter of recommendation upon successful completion
CompensationThis is an unpaid internship. While there is no monetary compensation, the role is designed to deliver meaningful, resume-worthy experience and direct mentorship. Academic credit arrangements are supported where applicable β please inquire when applying.
