Interior Design Intern | Crosby Jenkins Associates | Handshake

Crosby Jenkins Associates is looking for an Interior Design Intern to work directly alongside an interior designer during the fall semester. This is a paid, hands-on internship designed to give a student real-world experience in residential interior design, from concept through installation. The intern will assist with a variety of day-to-day tasks, including: Helping prepare for client meetings and presentations Sourcing furniture, lighting, fabrics, finishes, window treatments, floor coverings and accessories Creating presentation boards Accompanying the designer on site visits, vendor appointments, and client meetings Assisting with CAD drawings, including floor plans, elevations, lighting plans, and custom furniture details Requesting pricing and product information from vendors Tracking orders and project details Assisting with installations and project styling Learning Studio Designer and other tools used to manage interior design projects This internship is intended to be a true learning experience. The intern will work closely with the designer throughout the semester and will also have opportunities to shadow other designers at Crosby Jenkins Associates, gaining exposure to different project types, design styles, and the day-to-day operations of a residential interior design firm. Schedule: Approximately 3 days per week (10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.) during the fall semester. Days will be coordinated based on project schedules. Compensation: $18/hour.
