Charlie Greene Studio Internship Description: Who We Are: Charlie Greene Studio is a close-knit team of designers that specializes in telling three-dimensional stories. We continually move between larger design strategies to the distinct details of a project, from the forest to the trees and back again. Who You Are: You are comfortable wearing multiple hats in a small business with an entrepreneurial culture. You have strong design skills and are looking to apply your experience to collaborate to create award-winning interior spaces. You are highly organized, and have curiosity, drive, and an eagerness to learn. In an Interior Design Intern, you will: · Act as library liaison, scheduling sales representative appointments and learning activities, as well as filing library samples and keeping resources organized. · Develop design concepts and diagrams, illustrations, and renderings to explain those concepts. · Take an active role in design charettes. · Work with consultants and vendors to fully develop design. · With oversight, produce and coordinate construction documents for architectural interiors projects. · With oversight, develop furniture specifications and coordinate with furniture dealers. · Attend site visits. · Assist with other special projects, as needed and assigned. Job Specifications: · Professional degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field, from an accredited program. · Knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Sketchup, Photoshop, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word), and Adobe InDesign. · Strong visualization skills. · Strong written and oral communication skills. · Ability to work independently and under your own direction and initiative. · Ability to work 16-24 hours per week, during normal business hours. · Ability to take direction. · Ability to handle ambiguity. Physical Demands: · Employee must occasionally lift samples and other materials, up to twenty (20) pounds Work Environment: · Typical indoor open office environment. The office is currently used at moderate capacity. While we do offer flexible working arrangements, this is not a remote position.
