Interior Design Consultant | Fine Art & Custom Framing
The District Gallery & Framery, a premier fine art gallery and high-end custom framing studio in Knoxville, Tennessee, is seeking a full-time Art & Design Consultant to join our creative team.
For more than 30 years, we have helped clients preserve, enhance, and showcase artwork through exceptional custom framing and design. We are looking for a creative professional with a strong eye for design who enjoys working with people and is excited to bring artistic visions to life.
This position is ideal for someone with a background in interior design, visual arts, art sales, merchandising, or another creative field who wants to work in an inspiring environment surrounded by fine art and design.
Responsibilities
Consult with clients, interior designers, artists, and collectors to create custom framing solutions
Assist clients with artwork selection and framing design
Recommend frame mouldings, matting, glazing, fabrics and complete custom display options
Manage projects from concept to completion with exceptional attention to detail
Learn and maintain knowledge of our extensive framing inventory and services
Provide outstanding customer service and build lasting client relationships
Receive and catalog incoming art for commercial projects
Assist with gallery events, marketing, merchandising, and special projects as needed
Qualifications
Creative and visually driven with a strong design sensibility
Background in interior design, visual arts, fine art, or a related creative field preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Comfortable working directly with clients
Enthusiastic, energetic, and self-motivated
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong math and measurement skills
Retail, sales, or customer service experience preferred
Hands-on, problem-solving mindset
Preferred Skills
Experience in custom framing, art consulting, interior design, or gallery sales
Knowledge of Photoshop, Canva and WordPress is a plus
Schedule
Tuesday–Saturday, Full-Time
Experience
One or more years of custom framing, art gallery, interior design, or related creative experience is preferred.
