About this role

Elizabeth Home, a multi-faceted, brick and mortar showroom that offers interior design services to private clients, and also operates as a retail shop, coffee bar, and art gallery, is looking for an associate interior designer to join our team. Our design philosophy is to help clients find balance and comfort and a place to call home by creating spaces that reflect who they are or want to become. Job Requirements · RESPONSIBILITIES: • Support design projects from kickoff to installation, including (but not limited to): Space analysis/onsite measurements, CAD drawings, presentation prep, sourcing, and project management • Source inspiration imagery and create mood boards to support overall design concept • Research finish materials and obtain material samples, compose palettes for design presentations • Create scaled furniture plans and elevations in CAD or SketchUp • Work with vendors, showrooms, and makers to obtain accurate quotes for furniture, fixtures, and accessories • Create detailed proposals in Design Manager • Create finish schedules for paint, lighting, tile & stone, and hardware • Transition between creative activities and execution tasks · Execute project administration from proposal to purchasing · Manage project timeline to keep project on track and within budget • Occasionally, assist in documentation & content creation for IG / Social Media Occasionally assist with tasks pertaining to retail operations · QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree or certificate in Interior Design or related field from an accredited school At least three plus years experience in interior design industry • Software Skills (Required): AutoCAD, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Excel • Software Skills (Bonus Points): Design Manager, Canva • Working knowledge of construction process and best practices, experience communicating with tradespeople on job sites • Reliable car and willing to travel within Metro West and Boston Areas • Able and willing to move small furniture items during installs and transport materials for presentations • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively • A keen eye for aesthetics and details that enhance the overall design quality • Ability to multi task and pivot quickly • Must be a self starter able to work independently • Must have knowledge of furniture components and be able to specify window treatments Job Type: Full-time Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year Benefits: • Employee discount • Paid time off Work Location: In person
