JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: The basic function of the Interior Design Associate or Interior Designer is to provide professional design services related to the development of any residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects awarded to CW Design. We are looking for a highly skilled, highly creative person with experience in both residential and commercial interior design. Specifically with emphasis on apartment buildings and amenity spaces - like, lobbies, gyms, pool areas and leasing/sales offices. Knowledge of commercial materials, furniture, products, vendors a plus. DUTIES INCLUDE (but not limited to): • Provide support to CW Group companies through various assigned projects • Select interior color pallet, materiality and all hard finishes, electrical and plumbing fixtures for multifamily projects, commercial projects, residential model homes and spec home inventory • Create innovative interior/exterior elevation packages and concept presentations • Overseeing costs and budgets, along with project estimates for leadership approval prior to beginning • Maintain current with design trend and ensure up to date samples are in our design studio and third-party design center • Procure new products as directed by leadership that meet company directed aesthetic and budget • Create furniture layouts, floor plans, and elevation sketches or renderings for each project assigned • Oversee and coordinate or assist with model home, amenity areas, or spec home installs or staging • Work with closely with Architecture team by drafting interior elevations drawings in Revit • Conducting meetings with clients, contractors and tradespeople as needed to ensure quality and expectations are being met. • Assist with various design related projects as directed by leadership team • Other tasks and projects as assigned EXPERIENCE + SKILLS: • Minimum of 5 years professional design experience, with emphasis on commercial spaces preferred • Interior Design Degree preferred • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite required, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup is a plus • Proficient in AutoCAD required and basic understanding of Revit • Enjoys a fast-paced environment, adaptable to change and open to feedback • Artistic ability, creative, detail oriented, organized, problem-solving skills • Self-starting, ability to multitask and prioritize • Excellent communication, interpersonal, team building, and a can-do attitude • Must be proactive and willing to go the extra mile
