Interior Design - Assistant

Interior Design – Assistant J. Grady Home is a residential interior design firm which also operates a retail, brick and mortar, home and gift store on Charles Street in the Beacon Hill district of Boston. Our team is currently looking for an Interior Design Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone strongly interested in interior design and looking to gain practical experience in the design industry. The Assistant will have the opportunity to: · Work with textiles and other materials · Maintain the fabric library · Support the Design Team with organizational and administrative tasks · Assist in the retail store as needed · Help create engaging social media posts We are looking for: · Someone enthusiastic and engaging! · Who is creative and has “an eye” for design, visually and conceptually · A desire to work as part of a team · Excellent communication skills when interfacing with the team, clients and customers · Initiative to take on tasks and projects and see them through to completion · High level of organization skills · Love of Golden Retrievers is a definite plus! Requirements: · Located in Boston or Greater Boston Area (this is an on-site position) · Technologically savvy with proficiency in Canva and Shopify a plus · Retail experience preferred but not required · Must be able to work a flexible schedule with the ability to work some weekends · Not required but a plus is a valid driver’s license and access to a car J.
