Interior Design Assistant

Overview Brooke Truhar Design is a small boutique interior design firm located in Sacramento, CA and we are looking to grow our design team. We are looking for an organized, motivated, creative and detail oriented Interior Design Assistant. No two days are the same, you will split your time between creative tasks and behind the scenes administrative work to keep the client projects running smoothly. This part time role is ideal for someome who enjoys both the creative and operational sides of design and can help keep projects moving smoothly from concept through installation. Key Responsibilities Design Support: Assist in creating mood boards and client presentations with Canva. Create and maintain finish schedules for each project. Light sourcing opportunities. Drafting: Assist in developing conceptual designs and space planning for both residential & commercial projects are a must. Experience in detailed construction documentation, including drawings, specifications, and construction details that adhere to building code compliance are a plus but not mandatory. Procurement & Admin: Place and track purchase orders, manage vendor communications, work to resolve any unforseen damages. Scheduling: Coordinate client meetings, site visits, deliveries and installations. Installations: Assist on-site during furniture & art deliveries, styling and final client reveals. Qualifications and Requirements: 1-2 years of administrative or studio experience in interior design preferred. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and professionally. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Proficency in Canva, Google Docs, Sheets are a must. Experience with Houzz Pro is a strong plus. Reliable vehicle, valid drivers license and willingness to travel to local job sites and showrooms. Must be proactive with strong time management skills. Must have the ability take initiative, work independently, and follow through without constant direction.
